Agreement between Gdansk University of Technology and Nauta
The Center for Security and Defense Technology of Gdansk University of Technology and Nauta Shiprepair Yard entered into an agreement for the close co-operation between both entities. Its signing is a further step of the broad long lasting partnership in respect of the defense project for the Polish Navy.
The agreement was signed on 21st September, 2022 by Prof. Krzysztof Wilde, rector of Gdansk University of Technology and Ms. Monika Kozakiewicz, acting President of the Board of Nauta.
Nauta is looking for support and co-operation in such area as passive defence systems and hydroacoustic systems.
Presently Nauta Shiprepair Yard, being the part of a consortium comprising Polish Armament Group and PGZ Naval Shipyard works on a contract for the major repair (including docking) of three mine sweepers of project 207. One of them – ORP NAKŁO (640) will enter Nauta in October, 2022.
The Center for Security and Defense Technology is a university-wide, interdisciplinary research and development center, the purpose of which is to coordinate and supervise research, production, service and commercial activities in the field of security and defense technologies as well as to manufacture and trade products and technologies for military or police in terms of compliance with the provisions of the concession.
