Naming Ceremony of Ocean Star built in Nauta Shiprepair Yard

On 17th August naming ceremony was held in Nauta Yard in Gdynia. Ocean Star is a new vessel built for Scottish shipowner – Mewstead (Fraserburgh) LLP. Ms Chloe Tait and Ms Rebecca West became godmothers of this significant ship.

Ocean Star (B-698) 87 m long and 18 m wide. She was delivered to the Owner on 13th August 2018. The vessel is equipped with the most modern fishing equipment such as fish finding, catching and storage system suitable for catching different type of school pelagic species. The complete propulsion plant, including the main engine about 7 000 kW, together with two bow thrusters, will provide very good maneuverability during the catching operation and purse seining operation. The vessel was built according to Wartsila design.
